# Whitelisted users

What does whitelisted users mean and how does it work?

With Flowbox, you can **whitelist Instagram and TikTok users**, meaning any content collected from these profiles will automatically be labeled as **"Whitelisted"** - and you won’t need to send **Rights Requests** for their posts.

This is especially useful if you work with **content creators or influencers** as part of ongoing partnerships or campaigns.

> Before whitelisting a user, make sure you have received **explicit consent** from the account owner to use their content. They must be aware that their future posts may be collected and published by Flowbox platform.

## How to whitelist a user?

-   In the Flowbox dashboard, go to Visual Marketing.

-   Under the Content Creator section, click Whitelisted Users.

-   Click the Whitelist User button.

-   Select the social media platform (**Instagram** or **TikTok**).

-   Enter the user's **handle name** and **email address** (optional).

-   Enter the user's contact information (optional)

-   Click **"Whitelist user"** to save.

> Flowbox does not validate usernames, so please double-check the handle before saving.

## How content is collected from whitelisted users?

-   Once a user is whitelisted, **any new content** collected from that profile will be marked as **"Whitelisted."**

-   **Older content**, collected before the user was added to the whitelist, will not be labeled as such.

-   Flowbox can only mark as "Whitelisted" posts collected via photo tag or @mention sources. Posts collected via hashtag **won’t be marked as whitelisted**.

## Auto-tag posts by username

Flowbox also supports **auto-tagging**: when a whitelisted user’s content is collected, their **username is automatically added as a tag**. This helps with organizing content and building **Dynamic Tag Flows** to spotlight specific creators or partners.
