Flow design: language & translation
Flowbox lets you configure your Flows in multiple languages so you can adapt to your visitorsβ region or market. This is especially useful for brands operating across different countries.
In this article, weβll show you how to set up and manage translations for your Flow.
How Flowbox handles languages
When someone visits a page with an embedded Flow, the website sends Flowbox a locale β which includes both the region (like Europe) and the language (like French).
Flowbox then displays your Flow in that language, if itβs available.
If the requested language isnβt available, the Flow will automatically use the default language youβve set.
Access translations and default language
- Go to Visual Marketing β Flows.
- Click Settings on the Flow you want to edit.
- In the Flow Settings page, click the Translate icon (at the top right of the screen).
This will open the translation modal.
Edit translations and set your default language
In the translation panel, youβll see a list of all available languages.
- Set default language: Select a language on the dropdown and then select Set as fallback language.
- Edit text: Select a language, then edit the text fields for that version.
- Click Update when youβre done.
You can translate the following widget elements:
- Load more media button: title and URL
- Banner: title and subtitle
- Media uploader: button title, Terms & Conditions URL, Privacy Policy URL, and Showcase URL
- Custom buttons: Media CTA button title and Post Product button title

To see your translation live, make sure the component (e.g. banner or uploader) is enabled in your Flow.
